Not much to this story except that I was taken by surprise when this nice looking black bear was standing nearly 100 ft away from my camp. I had been watching out for wildlife and just wrapped up... Not much to this story except that I was taken by surprise when this nice looking black bear was standing nearly 100 ft away from my camp. I had been watching out for wildlife and just wrapped up and walked back the short distance to my camp. My camera was right by my side and I was lucky to get a single shot that wasn't entirely blurry. The branches between me and the bear were very dense, so I switched to manual focus and attempted to get a reasonably clear shot. The bear took off immediately, and there wasn't another opportunity to get a clear view unfortunately. First time seeing one in a long time.
